About

     Latesha is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 11 years of experience providing medical social work and counseling services in central Mississippi. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from THEE Jackson State University (2013, 2014) and has cultivated a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges individuals and families face, particularly in medical and caregiving contexts.

     With extensive experience as a medical social worker for CHS and LHC Group, Latesha has developed specialized skills in geriatric care, crisis intervention, and resource management. In these roles, she has supported countless individuals and families navigating aging, chronic illness, and the end-of-life process. Latesha is passionate about equipping clients and their families with community resources and practical tools to enhance their well-being during difficult times.

     In 2015, Latesha further expanded her expertise by completing a certified grief counseling program through the Wellington Institute in Jackson, Mississippi. This certification has enabled her to provide compassionate, client-centered support to individuals experiencing a wide range of grief, including non-traditional forms of grief. Her approach emphasizes emotional resilience and fostering hope for the future.

As a divorced single parent and mother of a son with autism spectrum disorder, Latesha brings a personal and empathetic perspective to her counseling practice. Her life experiences have deepened her commitment to supporting families navigating complex emotional challenges, offering a safe space for clients to heal and grow.
